Annika is known for her meticulous eye and creative versatility, which includes a background in music and theater that informs her detail-oriented approach to color. Specializing in dimensional brunettes, distinctive redheads, and sun-kissed blondes— her seamless balayage and foiling techniques paired with strategic formulations ensure a singular result.
Annika’s career began in Michigan in 2013, though her love for hair started much earlier—styling friends and crafting looks for local theater productions. She undertook a comprehensive two-year apprenticeship under Rusk educator Phil Stone, building a strong technical foundation while simultaneously studying Music Therapy and Vocal Performance at university. This unique blend of artistic disciplines led her to New York, where she completed a music therapy internship at Mount Sinai while joining the Marie Robinson Salon team.
Since 2019 Annika has continuously fine-tuned her talents and acquired new expertise in the art of hair color under Marie’s masterful eye, focusing on precision, longevity, and personalized results. Whether creating soft, natural dimension or bold, creative transformations, she approaches each client with a performer’s eye for drama and a care for individual expression. She remains actively involved in New York’s theater scene, designing, coloring, and styling wigs for local productions. Her work has been featured in InStyle and on Broadway opening night red carpets.
In 2024, Annika’s adventurous spirit inspired her to backpack across the world to 50 countries - from New Zealand to Japan, Sri Lanka to South Africa, and Iceland to Spain. In 2025, Annika returned to NYC with a profound global perspective and uses it as a catalyst for creativity within her life and in her work.
