ALLISON WOODRUFF,
HAIR STYLIST
The Stylist of Effortless Edge
With over two decades of expertise, master stylist Allison Woodruff is renowned for her versatility and innate creativity, making her one of New York City’s most sought-after talents for cuts that are undone, effortless, and supremely chic.
Her distinguished career began in Soho assisting Oscar Bond, followed by a formative period at Sally Hershberger’s Downtown Salon. In 2010, Allison helped launch the Marie Robinson Salon, joining as a founding stylist and establishing her artistic home.
Allison’s expert eye extends beyond the salon chair into film, television, music, and fashion. She has crafted iconic looks for personalities such as Edie Falco in Nurse Jackie, John Oliver on Last Week Tonight, Ira Glass of This American Life, and David Graham of Depeche Mode. Her editorial work has graced the pages of W, Dazed & Confused, and she has assisted legends like Orlando Pita and Guido Palau backstage at fashion weeks for houses including Dior, Oscar de la Renta, and Ralph Lauren.
Renowned for her precision, Allison specializes in technical haircuts that are designed to be lived-in—think “wash-and-go” ease with a sophisticated edge. It is this combination of raw talent, editorial vision, and a commitment to wearable style that defines her craft and continues to attract a discerning clientele.
